Drivers CPC

DRIVERS CPC is coming!! Our drivers CPC and theory test classroom facility will be opening in Leicester early in 2008 to help you through the new regulations.

The Drivers CPC is a new EU directive which will affect all bus and coach drivers, and at a later date all HGV drivers. The drivers CPC is not the same CPC as required for an Operators Licence. Its aim is to improve the standard of professionalism of vocational drivers. It will be implemented in various stages.

Sept 2008

After this date all new PCV drivers will need to hold a drivers CPC before they can take the driving test.

2012

All PCV drivers must hold the drivers CPC. This involves 35hrs of training either spread between 2008 and 2012 or taken enblock.

The HGV drivers CPC will come into force approx 12 months after these dates ie 2009 and 2013 and the same requirements will apply.

For more detailed information feel free to contact Carl Hughes (operations director) by any of these methods.
